You can walk to everything Bowen has to offer from here, which made the location a real highlight. The Parkview room was great value for our two nights, and we’d likely return. The bed was pretty uncomfortable, though, so don’t count on a great night’s sleep.

The Cape has a view that’s hard to beat, and the room was comfortable, with nice seating and a good bed. We were here for a weekend getaway and our first stay at Artisan Suites on Bowen. There’s a great bonus downstairs too, the best lattes in the province. A five star escape close to Vancouver, in our view.

I booked the Mt. Gardner Suite for one night with my two young children because the hotel’s official website said it had a queen bed and a queen sleeper sofa. The hotel’s Instagram photos also showed a sofa. I expected my children to share the bed while I slept on the sofa, and paid for the stay on that understanding. When we arrived, there was just one queen bed. I’d emailed before booking because the system wouldn’t let me enter three guests. The hotel replied that the suite was intended for two, but I could book if I was comfortable with the children sharing the bed. Nobody mentioned that the advertised sofa wasn’t actually there. We got in close to the kids’ bedtime after travelling, so there wasn’t a practical way to sort this out that night. We all ended up sleeping sideways across the bed, and I moved a chair beside it so I could rest my feet. I later contacted the hotel to explain the mismatch and give them a chance to address it, but got no response. I’d tell future guests to confirm exactly what’s in the room before booking. The online description and photos didn’t match what I paid for. At best, the communication was very poor. At worst, this was misleading advertising and unprofessional conduct, and the hotel has avoided addressing a valid discrepancy that affected a paying customer’s comfort.

The view was incredible, and the room was spotless and amazing. Check-in is contactless, but the staff were very helpful and quick to respond online, answering our questions and handling our requests. I’d recommend it anytime.

The room and view were both great. I had trouble trying to reserve through booking.com, but Julie replied quickly and kindly and helped sort out the problem. Book through their website!
