Fairfield Inn & Suites Brampton

Max sorted out a reservation mix-up by giving us a king suite, which meant we ended up with two rooms and that worked even better for us. When we had to leave early, he fixed everything then too. He was kind, helpful, and courteous the whole time. The rooms were clean, breakfast had lots of choices, and the pool was great. The hot tub was working, unlike at some other hotels. We’ll be back next year.

Breakfast was well stocked, and the staff were attentive and quick to respond, 5/5. The rooms are quiet when kids aren’t running through the halls and slamming the stairwell doors against the wall. Unfortunately, that was an issue this time, with hockey kids running around for hours in the evening. I saw five empty beer cans along the hallway and under a table by the elevator on our way to breakfast. I don’t blame the hotel for guests behaving that way. The room’s heating and AC unit has manual controls, even though there’s a thermostat installed with a note explaining that. We discovered overnight that “off” didn’t actually shut it off. It kept switching on for about five seconds every couple of minutes, no matter how we positioned the knob. My wife is a light sleeper, and the noise disrupted her sleep. There were also two shampoo bottles in the shower, one about three-quarters empty and the other about half empty, plus conditioner but no body wash. It made me wonder how long the bottles had been there. This was our second stay, exactly one year after the first, oddly enough. I doubt we’ll come back next time.

I found a bug right on the bed, where guests are supposed to sleep. That made me question the room’s cleanliness and hygiene, and worry there might be more insects in the bed or elsewhere in the room. I spent the stay feeling stressed and uncomfortable. A hotel needs to provide clean, safe rooms, and this felt like a serious failure in housekeeping and quality control. One of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had.

We had a really nice stay. My wife, kids, and I found the staff very friendly, and the whole place and rooms were clean. Amandeep was especially kind and helpful in the breakfast cafe, and breakfast is included each morning. The hotel works well for a short or longer visit, with easy access to the 401. Thanks for a pleasant stay, I’d recommend it.
