Auberge Bromont

The golf courses beside the hotel give the place a really peaceful feel, and the mountain views are breathtaking. Our room was spacious and clean, and breakfast was included. Most people seemed to speak only French, but the staff would respond in English when needed.

The room’s condition was already disappointing, with stains on the carpet, a toilet paper holder coming off the wall, and towels in poor shape. It looked nothing like the pictures on Booking.com. At check-in, we found there was no electricity, and the front desk clerk said they’d fix it the next morning. After we objected to spending the night without lights, he moved us, but said we’d have to change rooms every day because the hotel was fully booked. I had to speak with the manager the next morning to sort it out, and they still acted like they were doing us a big favour. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Our room was very clean and newly furnished, with an incredible view outside. The only problem was that it wasn’t ready until after 4, even though we had a wedding at 3. We ended up changing in the bathroom.

I couldn’t find the gym, and the directions contradicted each other. The older room was noisy, which made the stay disappointing, and getting to the spa meant walking through the parking lot. The layout there wasn’t very well thought out. This seems more suited to summer and golf; I’m not sure I’d choose it first in winter.
