The second room was still too warm, though I got it blowing cool air instead of heat, so we left the window open. Then the door kept moving back and forth audibly because it didn't seal tightly. The TV was old, some remote buttons were dead, and we had to use the TV controls. The bed wobbled and creaked, probably because the frame was loose. We made do for the night, but won't return. The replies to poor reviews seem generic or AI generated, which is disheartening and adds to why I'd avoid this place. Check-in itself was quick, but they handed us only two towels, which made the place feel frugal from the start. Our first room was unbearably hot. We called the front desk, though the static on the room phone made them hard to understand, and after many attempts we couldn't cool it down, so they moved us. The hotel needs updating and maintenance, as well as a review of its procedures.

The main problem for me was the internet. The Wi-Fi was often unavailable or very weak, so this isn't a good choice if you need to work online. I had paid for a queen room but was first given a twin room, though they corrected that. Since it was very cold outside during my stay, a coffee vending machine would also have been good.

It's hard to find another centrally located hotel with decent, clean rooms that doesn't require a credit card or deposit. There are no parking charges, the room rates are the lowest, and breakfast is included. It's pet friendly with no charge for pets, which is amazing. Staff are very friendly and accommodating, and Wi-Fi is available.

There are a few people working here who are friendly, accommodating, and give above and beyond customer service. But some of the morning staff made the stay extremely uncomfortable. They were rude, controlling, and didn't take responsibility for their work ethic, so I didn't feel welcome. The most upsetting part was a morning clerk discussing some of my personal information in a negative way while other guests were around. I also had a room booked through Expedia last year for about 2 maybe 3 weeks. One day I booked the wrong date, for the month ahead, and told them I'd change it. I got stuck in a different town with a dead phone and couldn't do it that night. The next morning they kicked me out.
