Canadas Best Value Desert Inn & Suites Cache Creek

Maninder at reception made arrival and checkout quick and easy, and checked in with us to see if we needed anything. We booked three rooms for two nights for our group. They were clean, well kept, and roomier than expected, with comfortable beds and handy touches like a mini-fridge, microwave, and hair dryer. We barbecued outside by the parking area both nights and enjoyed the weather. The location is convenient for downtown, gas stations, and the highway, while still quiet enough to sleep well. A welcoming, affordable place and better than I expected for the price.

Everything was neat and fresh, and the motel was clean both indoors and outside. It exceeded what we expected from a roadside stop on our road trip and made for a really pleasant visit. If cleanliness matters to you, this is a good choice.

The front office woman was so helpful and made everything easy. The rooms were very clean, though the room freshener was strong at first. It's a convenient stop on the way to the Rockies. The mattress in our room could have been better.

It was so quiet, which we loved, and the bed was good. The room was clean apart from a few fruit flies. In the evening it was 38 degrees in the shade, so the AC working perfectly was a relief. Nearby Ashcroft is often the hotspot of Canada. There were plenty of TV channels, and the bath was welcome after a long drive, with instant hot water and complimentary shampoo and bath gel. The toilet kept running after I used it, though, and the noise kept me awake until my husband got up and shut off its water. Service left a bad impression: she refused to give me a receipt for the room even after I explained I needed it for reimbursement. She wouldn't even make a photocopy, though the printer was right there. She said coffee and tea were in the room and didn't want me to take any from the entrance supply, but our room only had coffee. There's no breakfast here. I'm not sure it was good value for a two-star place. The Wi-Fi didn't work, so I had to use a neighbour's network. Wi-Fi was advertised, but we couldn't use theirs.
