The Dorian, Autograph Collection

Our room at The Dorian was lovely, clean, and carefully designed, with a luxurious, comfortable feel and a great bed. My husband and I felt welcome from the minute we arrived, thanks to staff who were friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. It was one of the best stays we've ever had. We'd absolutely return and recommend it to anyone visiting Calgary.

Jamie, the Assistant Front Desk Manager, and his team handled a leak from the room above with real professionalism. They arranged a smooth room change and made sure we were comfortable and looked after. That could have been a hassle, but their service made a big difference. The Dorian Hotel in Calgary also has excellent facilities, especially the gym. As an elite member, I enjoyed the à la carte breakfast in the restaurant. I had a great stay and would gladly recommend the hotel and come back.

Shayeen looked after us at breakfast on all three mornings, greeting us with a smile, introducing herself, and learning our names. She remembered them for the rest of our trip and helped us find collaborative work spaces between meetings. She also always made sure we had enough water and coffee. I can't remember the last time I had customer service this good. My work colleagues and I spent three nights at the Dorian in Calgary and had a fantastic stay. The rooms felt homey and were beautifully decorated, and the clean, modern gym was well equipped. The whole staff was so friendly and welcoming.

The restaurant is shared with a Courtyard, so its atmosphere wasn't especially luxurious. Still, the staff and food were great, and it didn't take away from my stay. I spent two days at the Dorian in November 2025, after booking through The Edit via Chase Travel. The downtown Calgary location worked well, close to plenty of restaurants and Chinatown. Staff members called me by name at every interaction, from check-in through departure, without checking a screen or my room number. They were attentive at breakfast too, making themselves available while leaving me alone when I had headphones on. My room was upgraded at check-in, and it was spacious, quiet, and clean, as was the bathroom. The $100 ($130 CAD) credit was easy to use for valet and other services around the property. The front desk went over all the property benefits and listed them in a welcome letter. Valets were quick, responsive, and very friendly. I had a great stay and recommend it to travelers, including people using The Edit or THC/FHR via Amex.
