Langdon Hall Country House Hotel & Spa

The fireplace in our room felt special, and the piano music during dinner added a lovely touch. The decorations made the place feel festive and warm, and the food was beautifully presented with balanced flavors that showed real technique. My husband and I had one of our most memorable classic celebration and hotel experiences here. Everyone working there was welcoming, kind, and thoughtful. We’re already looking forward to coming back with family in summer to enjoy the outdoor garden.

We even met Queen, the resident cat, near the greenhouse. The spa professionals were excellent, and the food was delicious both in the main dining hall and at Wilks bar. Rooms were beautifully furnished, with evening turn-down service, and every staff member we met was friendly and knowledgeable. Excellent stay at Langdon Hall, and I’d definitely recommend a visit.

The foie gras and soup were the standouts, both flawless in flavor and presentation. Every dish was excellent. Our server was knowledgeable and kind, gave us useful details, and then let us enjoy the meal without hovering. It was my first time dining at Langdon Hall, and the décor and atmosphere felt magical, elegant but still inviting. I couldn’t have been happier with the meal, and I’ll definitely be back.

I’ve stayed at Langdon Hall from time to time over about 35 years, around ten visits altogether. One was for a wedding that took over the whole property from Friday evening until Sunday afternoon. It’s casual luxury at its best, and a place to savor and cherish. The stays have made wonderful memories with loved ones. The service is impeccable, and the accommodations feel sumptuous without being stuffy. I stayed this past weekend and was impressed again by the attention to detail and the kindness of the whole team.
