The pool isn’t large, but we had a great time relaxing there before heading home. Our jacuzzi suite was clean and comfortable, with a great shower and jacuzzi. We could hear some sounds from the hallway and neighboring rooms, but it didn’t bother us and seemed no different from elsewhere. The service was great, and we’d happily return. The location was ideal for exploring Canmore and Banff, close to things while still away from downtown’s bustle. We won a three-night stay for the price of one in the Christmas contest, which worked perfectly for our January 25 to 28 trip. We didn’t try the outdoor hot tub since we had our own jacuzzi. The only snag was parking on Monday and Tuesday, when several construction workers from the site across the street took up spaces. One even parked behind me and blocked me in, with a tree and another car on either side. That wasn’t the hotel’s fault, but something to know about.

Dawn made the evening especially memorable by bringing my daughter a little birthday cake at the paint party. Denise led the class at a pace that was easy to follow, even for people who don’t think they’re artistic, and made it relaxed and fun. We’d been following the page for a while, and finally got to attend a paint-and-stay night at Rundle Mountain Lodge. It was the day after my daughter’s birthday, which made it feel even more special. We checked in at 3pm after a fun trip downtown. Our room was clean, comfortable, and nicely presented, and everyone on staff was friendly and around if we needed anything. It was a lovely mix of creativity, relaxing time, and warm hospitality. If you’ve been thinking about going to one of these events, just go. We can’t wait to come back.

The rooms were big, clean, and nice, and Dawn, the manager, was super friendly. Whenever we needed something, she got it for us right away. All the staff were helpful and kind. My friend and I stayed three nights and joined an indigenous rattle workshop. We had an amazing time and learned a ton.

The cabin-like room was just the right size for two, with a queen bed and a cute little kitchen area with a sink, plates, and cutlery. The bed was a bit worn and could use an update, and there’s no headboard. The small bathroom was cozy, and the electric heater looks like an old-fashioned fireplace. With that little fireplace on, we slept so cozily. At check-in, the lovely front desk staff were quick and smooth, gave us a whole bag of maynerds Swedish strawberries, and told us we could get complimentary popcorn at the desk. They were so polite and friendly. Definitely staying here again. ❤️

I’ve visited this property many times over the years, and under the current management it’s been cleaner and better served than ever. It’s an older place, but the mountain views, bonfires, and vintage charm are lovely. The winter event weekends are fun and affordable, and Dawn brings such welcoming energy that you don’t leave feeling like a stranger.
