Andante Gîte Bed and Breakfast

We were biking around Quebec and this B&B was a lovely place to stop. The setting was beautiful, the conversation was great, and the food was generous and delicious. There wasn’t a restaurant nearby that we could ride to, so our hosts kindly made us dinner too. Highly recommended!

Fernando made us feel connected and welcome as soon as we got out of the car. He’s a great conversationalist with a good sense of humour, and we enjoyed swapping life stories and learning from each other. Breakfast was freshly prepared and delicious, with fruit from his backyard garden for every guest. We wished we could have stayed longer, but time was limited, and we’ll definitely return on our next Ottawa visit. The property itself is beautiful and unusual, with cozy beds and everything sparkling clean. It’s a shared home, though each room can be locked off for privacy. The bathroom and dining room are shared, and Fernando stays in one of the rooms and is always around if you need help.

Fernando was a very friendly host, and the weekend at Andante B&B was comfortable and clean. We had a great stay and I’d come back.

We booked on a whim at the last minute, just 20 minutes before reaching the front door. Fernando greeted us so warmly and took great care of us. He had lots of stories to share, along with useful information.
