Mathew speaks both French and English and gave us great tips for traveling around locally. We had a memorable visit and hope to come back, and I'll recommend the place to friends. It's an amazing, modern-feeling, eco-friendly place with a very welcoming, dedicated host.

We felt much better looked after here than at a hotel. The room was lovely, and everything was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Both hosts were warm and caring, and the food was amazing, with a different menu every day. Strongly recommended.

The hosts were welcoming and kind, and when the electricity went out across the Cap-Chat area for the whole afternoon and night, they kindly gave us candles. The room and bed were very small but clean. The room was noisy, though. I heard the man next door snoring all night, and the bed sloped toward the middle and was uncomfortable, so it was hard to sleep. I also felt very uncomfortable that the hosts didn't follow indoor mask rules during the Covid pandemic. We wore masks whenever we were in public areas, but the hosts didn't wear them when talking to us or cooking breakfast, and they didn't ask other guests to wear them either. On the night of the outage, people gathered in the dining room, laughing and talking without precautions.

A good place to stay, with a clean room, a nice view of the St.Lawrence river, good hosts, and an easy-to-find location. Breakfast was good, and the owner keeps the place clean, so no worries there. It isn't especially cozy with the R132 route right outside. You've got to have dinner at the Valmont, a 5-min walk away.
