Super 8 Caraquet

The hotel was clean, the room had what we needed, and the location worked well for our trip. My daughter and her friend were at a two-day triathlon training camp at U de M. Noise from the nearby pool during the day was understandable, and I couldn't get us moved farther from the hockey tournament families because there wasn't another room available. The late-night noise was harder to manage. Kids were yelling in the halls until late, and although I was told quiet hours would be enforced from 10pm, guitars and room parties started around then. The front desk explained that guests could rent space to socialize from 4-11pm, and they did shut the parties down right at 11. Usually I can stay up late and sleep in, so this wouldn't bother me much. But the athletes were ready to crash around 8 and had to be up at 4:50am for another day of training. We got only a few hours of sleep, felt groggy, and still faced a three-hour drive home. I'd recommend the Super8 Caraquet for its cleanliness and location, but not if you need a good night's sleep.

Room 213 had a balcony and a view over Marina harbour, with a great sunset. The hotel was spotless, the surroundings were very quiet, and service was excellent. We were greeted with a smile at the front desk.

The view of the carrefour de la mer was nice, and the room was clean. The clerk was really friendly and helpful.

We brought our dog and had no problems. The location is great near the ocean, with a bike path close by and plenty of restaurants within walking distance. It's a quiet place, and our room was spacious and clean. Service was good. The complimentary breakfast is very basic: scrambled eggs, toast, bagels, cereal, bananas, yogurt, granola bars, wrapped muffins, tea, and coffee. That's fine by me, I won't go hungry 😉. There's also an indoor pool with a huge slide. I didn't use it, but it looked clean. I'd recommend Super 8.
