Cobblestone Manor B&B

Ivan, Lance, and the rest of the team put real care into the meals they make each day, and the dining experience was top notch. That same craftsmanship shows in the ceilings and stained glass at Cobblestone Manor. It dates back to the late 1800s, and it’s wonderful to see a thoughtfully designed building that’s aged so gracefully. Canada’s young compared with Europe, so architecture like this can be hard to come across.

The buffet felt like a delicious home-cooked meal, and everything was cooked just right. There was roast beef with gravy, mashed potatoes, vegetables, Yorkshire pudding, a salad bar, meatballs, two kinds of chicken, rice, pie, and dessert squares. We were treated like family by the staff, and they let us look around and enjoy the manor’s history. It’s a beautiful, quaint place, and we felt at home as soon as we walked in. They also have a liquor license now, which is a plus.

I’ve lived in Cardston for two years, and several people have told me to avoid this company. I’m sad to see such a beautiful piece of history run without common courtesy. I came in for takeout tonight after calling at 4:50. You told me to come at 5, and the waitress let me in then, but I could hear you getting mad at her for opening before you were ready. The walls aren’t very thick, sir, and it wasn’t her fault you weren’t ready. The food cost $32. It wasn’t awful, but it wasn’t worth that price. After seeing how you respond to other negative reviews, I won’t be back. I’ve worked in hospitality, and the room photos are awful. If you don’t want people opening doors in the rooms they’ve paid for, lock the doors. Happy holidays to the incredible wait staff at cobblestone.

The homemade meatballs, mashed potatoes, and gravy in the “meatball special” were delicious, and everything was made in house. We also tried a horses neck, which was fantastic. We came for dinner and are looking forward to visiting again. Definitely recommend giving this gem a try.
