I liked the place and the host was friendly, but I can’t recommend staying here while my $200 security deposit is still missing. I suspect it was some kind of admin mix-up, and I’d be happy to update this if it gets resolved. I haven’t found a way to reach the motel operator online from the country I’m currently in, and the deposit loss came on top of the room cost.

We had a lovely two-night stay for our anniversary. The owners were kind and accommodating. Give them a call before you arrive so they have time to come meet you at the motel with the keys. Good people.

There was no bedding for the extra person, and we were left with just one face cloth and two towels for five of us. The previous guests’ garbage was still there and smelled unpleasant. They charge $30 for a pet, which feels steep. You may want to consider other options.

Getting into the room meant waiting for someone to bring a key, which wasn’t convenient. Mosquitoes were coming through the vents in numbers I’ve never experienced in a room before. The fire alarm went off for no reason, then there was a warning about the CO2 level. I had to call about eight times before they sent a detailed receipt, and even then it was a shoddy MS Word document with no check-in or check-out dates. Very unprofessional, and I won’t stay there again.

The lake is close enough to reach on foot, and there’s a supermarket nearby for everyday needs. I stayed two nights after checking in last week. The room was very tidy, and the crew regularly checked whether I needed anything. I’d say this is the best motel, with the best service.
