There’s a lot of potential here, which made the whole ordeal even more frustrating. Our rooms weren’t ready when we arrived at 4:50, and we were told to wait another 45 minutes while the two workers on the balcony were on their phones instead of cleaning. We’d specifically requested rooms next to each other when we called in March, but were told ours weren’t side by side. The recycling bin was overflowing and the place looked like a pig pen. There were holes in the side of the building with huge wasps’ nests. They need to show this place more care before it goes to the ground.

We booked because it’s close to places in Cavendish and has a little outdoor pool, but the pool was closed for renovations our entire stay, and we couldn’t wait to check out. We stayed in room 34 in the strip part of the motel on our last visit in 2023, and it wasn’t as dingy and awful as the rooms in the building. This time, we could hear nonstop squeaking day and night from inside the walls, where there seemed to be baby mice or squirrels. The motel needs serious upgrades and renovations. Even replacing the comforters with cheap ones from IKEA would help. Save your money. I don’t recommend it.

The front desk worker was rude and had nothing but attitude when I tried to explain the many problems my family had. I’m not happy with how he handled the situation, and I will never stay here again. The cleaning staff were polite and hard working, though, and this was not their fault. We got back one day to find the room in a mess. Housekeeping had tried to come in but couldn’t get the door open. They tried once, walked away, and told the front desk worker, but he did nothing and didn’t tell us. The lock had been difficult to open since we arrived at the beginning of July in room #14. We’d called the first day to report it, but nothing was done. The next morning, the toilet stopped flushing just as a family member with IBS urgently needed to use it. There wasn’t a plunger in the room. We called the desk, and it took over an hour to bring one. Meanwhile, the toilet overflowed everywhere, and my family member was left waiting to go and then cleaning up the mess. The room was musty and very outdated, there were no phones, and the TV didn’t work. We’d also been told the pool wouldn’t open for another week, which was disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. Save your money and find somewhere better unless you want to deal with problems and rude staff.

We were told check-in was at 3:30, but when my wife and I arrived at 5:30, we still couldn’t get into our room. The desk worker said he had to check whether it was ready. The next morning, cleaners knocked and then walked right in while we were still in bed. It felt like the place was being run by young adults with no experience, and it’s very overpriced for what you get. We absolutely wouldn’t stay here again.
