Shining Waters Country Inn

It's a charming place for families, even if the rooms are a little dated. The beds were decent, the pillows comfortable, the AC worked great, and the water pressure was fantastic. I also loved the towel service. We absolutely loved our stay. Cavendish beach is only a very short drive away, and catching the sunset there is well worth it.

The room was comfortable and clean, and the service was quick and convenient. Rates were lower than I expected, while the service was much better than I expected. Fantastic accommodations, would highly recommend.

Friendly staff and a country feel, with a quaint atmosphere and breakfast included. It's an older place, though, with small rooms and uneven floors in the main lodge.

We booked two off-season nights in October and were really pleased with the rooms, accommodations, and staff. The rooms were cute and quaint, with great kitchenettes, new appliances including fridges and TVs, and full tubs and showers. My wife and I traveled with a friend and booked two separate rooms at a very affordable rate. We told them we'd arrive after the front office closed, and they left keys, maps, and instructions that were easy to find. The rooms are within walking distance of the Cavendish Cliffs and Oceanview Lookout, close to a gas station, and just down the road from Green Gables Heritage Place, the museum about L. M. Montgomery and her books based on Anne of Green Gables. The main drawback was that almost everything else in Cavendish shuts for the off-season, except Shining Waters Country Inn Cottages and Green Gables Heritage Place. We had to travel elsewhere on the island for food and recreation. Still, PEI is beautiful, and we enjoyed exploring all parts of it to find groceries, a pub, meals, or a drink. We'll definitely return to PEI and stay at Shining Waters Country Inn Cottages again. Absolutely recommend it!
