The morning breakfast was excellent, served in a lovely setting, and sometimes Jean Paul's mother was there too. She was every bit as attentive as our own mom. In the afternoon and evening, Jean Paul welcomes guests warmly. Sit down for a little red ale on tap with him and you’ll soon feel like you’ve made a friend. The whole staff is genuinely kind and attentive, and we’d be glad to see them again when we return. The building has been an inn since it was built. It’s old, but renovated, with creaky floorboards and a warm, charming feel. Inside, it brings to mind the graceful townhouses of another era. Just remember that trains pass very close by in the early morning and evening.

It’s spotless, and the staff are very welcoming, but the old building has sloping floors, so your bed may feel tilted. There’s a bar diagonally below the rooms in the same building, and a live performer there could make it hard to sleep. My room had an old analog TV and no mirror for shaving.

I had a lovely stay and really enjoyed it. The service was excellent, and my room was clean and smelled nice. Thank you!

Ten stars still wouldn’t be enough. I’m definitely coming back.
