Motel Lac St-Jean

A pleasant older motel right by the lake. It’s clean, nothing fancy, and each room has a nice patio with a table, chairs, and grill. There’s a fishing pier, and breakfast is included in the morning. No coffee in the room, though, and the nearest restaurant or store is about 10 miles away.

The room was clean and cozy, and the owner was kind and helpful. There’s a free fireplace, charcoal BBQ, ice machine, strong Wi-Fi, and a spot to fish. The lake view is gorgeous, and the sunset is unforgettable. Such a great place to relax. I’d absolutely recommend it and come back, but for at least three nights, there’s so much around to enjoy and we’d need the time. Thank you!

There’s no service until you leave. The beds are too low and weren’t very clean. I booked four days, but had to leave after two because my husband was unwell. He’s old and disabled, and we were there to visit his family. I asked for a refund for the last two days, but the boss refused, saying he could have rented the room to someone else, even though that’s exactly what he’ll do and he’ll get paid twice. I’ll never return to this motel, and I can’t recommend it to anyone.
