Gîte La Tempérance B&B

Such a great B and B!

We loved our one-night stay at Gîte la Tempérance in August 2020. Johanne welcomed us so warmly, along with Billy, her adorable little toy poodle. We arrived around supper time and had our picnic-style dinner in the nicely set-up backyard, where a wood fire was already waiting. Johanne kept it going for us until the evening was over. Our room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Johanne and her partner Daniel had clearly thought through the little details. In the morning they served a delicious, generous breakfast, then sat and had coffee with us. We were two couples, and it was a wonderful stay we’d be happy to repeat. There’s lots to do nearby, and we had a wonderful weekend at this lovely cottage last winter. Daniel, Mélodie, Johanne, and Filou all gave us a really warm welcome. Johanne’s breakfasts deserve a special mention, generous, unusual, and delicious.

We were lucky to get an upgrade to the spacious “Seventh Heaven” room, which Daniel had decorated with great taste. The house itself is charming and full of history. Daniel is a host with plenty to say, and he served us lavish, sublime breakfasts. He also offered excellent tips for visiting the region. I’d recommend this place if you’re passing through the Mauricie region.
