Gîte Un air d'été

A beautiful B&B, with lovely rooms and grounds and very friendly owners. It’s just outside Quebec City, close enough for a short ride in to sightsee, but far enough from the city noise at night. We hope to be back soon.

Lynda is such a gracious, welcoming B&B owner, and the home feels like a peaceful little slice of heaven. Breakfast looks and tastes five-star. The location is excellent, just five minutes from Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré, with lots to enjoy: relaxing with a book, the heated pool, hot tub, canoe, or the bridge walk to the little island. We had a private room and bath with plenty of hot water and an amazing shower, plus access to the kitchen and a common sitting area with TV. The house is comfortable and inviting. I wish I could give Lynda and her home ten stars. Outstanding accommodations.

It felt clean, cozy, and like home. The B&B owner is such a friendly, nice lady, and you can tell she really likes her job. Breakfast was cute, tasty, and freshly made in the house kitchen. Even the smell of the place tells you how clean it is. We couldn’t use the pool because it was cold, but we’re looking forward to coming back in the summer. My husband and I will definitely visit again.

The place is in a great spot, around 10-15 minutes one way to Montmorency falls and downtown Quebec city, and 10-15 the other way to St-Anne-de-Beaupré basilica and mont St Anne, with plenty more nearby. The view over the St Lawrence is picturesque, with l’île d’Orlean right across from you. Lynda, her husband, and Amy (their doggy) are wonderful hosts who make you feel at home. I’ve been many times with my husband and family, and we’ve all fallen for this magical B&B. There’s a pool, hot tub, and fire pit. Swimming at sunset, warming up in the hot tub, then sharing marshmallows with friends and family by the fire is hard to beat. The rooms are roomy, and there’s a shared TV sitting area and kitchen. The bathroom is shared too, but since everyone’s usually out, it feels like you’re the only one there. And waking up to an authentic Quebecquois breakfast is one of the best parts. Give it a chance and you’ll fall in love with this B&B.
