It’s a lovely place for an unhurried meal with good friends and wine, or a romantic dinner for two. The setting is beautiful and the service was friendly. I had the salad, beef tenderloin, and creme caramel. Everything was good, but nothing I’m eager to eat again, and the price felt a little high for what we got. I suppose some of it reflects the ambiance.

The food, service, and staff were excellent. We tried the wine pairing, and the Chef's inspiration was wonderful. There’s also a popular path into the woods for anyone who enjoys being outdoors. Our room was exceptionally spacious, with huge windows, and the enormous king bed had a very comfortable mattress and pillows. The manor has a beautiful view over Meech lake. There wasn’t a bar fridge, though perhaps that will come later since they’ve only just opened and may still be adding amenities. Looking forward to another weekend here. Thanking the O'Brien House for having us.

We settled in on the salon couches for a drink after dinner, then left well after 10pm. Our 7pm reservation turned into a leisurely multi-course meal lasting a few hours. The omnivore and vegetarian set menus were both delicious, and we each tried one. The food and drink were so excellent, and the service was impeccable and personal. It wasn’t inexpensive, but I can’t wait to return and see what fresh local and foraged food is on the menu.

My wife and I celebrated our fifth wedding anniversary here, and the food, service, and atmosphere were all amazing. I chose the Omnivore course, while my wife had the Vegetarian one, and we added wine pairings. James, the residence manager, and our waitress, whose name we unfortunately forgot, explained each dish and wine clearly. The pacing for each course and wine was perfect. It’s a unique experience everyone should try.

It was a 10 out of 10 weekend, from Linda greeting us at the front door to Martin wishing us well three days later. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable, Chef Patrick's food was delicious, and the grounds were gorgeous to walk around. We also had a wonderful tasting menu with Canadian wine pairings. Thank you, we’ll be back!
