La Digue Suites

We paid over 250 Canadian dollars and were very disappointed. When we arrived, the couch meant to be the children's bed was broken. The owner arranged for two men to come, but they arrived two hours later and couldn't fix it. Both children had to sleep on the damaged couch that night, and it barely worked because it kept threatening to collapse. We heard nothing further from the owner, with no apology or offer of compensation.

The Ocean View suite was spacious, lovely, clean and comfortable, with a beautiful view. Great location, highly recommended.

We found Cheticamp a beautiful, quaint village and really enjoyed our time there. The hotel was in a handy spot, within walking distance of shops and restaurants, and about a 20-minute drive from the Skyline trail. I stayed with my husband and our two small kids, and we loved sitting on the deck with a cold beer, watching the sun go down over the water and boardwalk with the fishing boats. The welcome was warm, and though check-in was a little different from other places, it was totally fine. The hotel was clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including towels and cooking gear.

The marina and boats nearby made for a peaceful setting. The staff were very friendly, and the room was clean and roomy, with a useful kitchen and utensils. I was a bit nervous about the Murphy bed since I'd never slept in one, but this one was extremely comfortable.
