Bobby and Jay really go all out to make a Tofino holiday great. The rooms are beautiful, the hosts are great, and the location is fantastic. I'd stay here again and recommend it to others.

The guest boardwalk over the ocean was amazing, a real hidden gem, and the suite is in a quiet neighborhood. My husband and I stayed here for our wedding trip and had a wonderful time. Bobbi and Jay were such welcoming hosts. They provide rain jackets, boots, backpacks, beach towels, blankets, and more. The book waiting in the suite had some excellent tips for local restaurants and goods. We ran into Bobbi and Jay in the mornings and were always met with a smile and suggestions for places to visit. I'd highly recommend the suite and hope to return for our anniversary next year. Thanks again!

The beach is within easy walking distance, and the accommodation is in a very convenient spot. The host family are friendly and make sure you have what you need for a comfortable stay. A beautiful place to stay.

Our first look at the bay was at low tide, then the next morning it was full at high tide, with beautiful trees and snow-topped mountains. Picture perfect. Black Bear Guesthouse is in a quiet neighbourhood and was a fabulous place to stay. The Cedar Room was just the right size for the two of us. There was coffee and tea right inside the door, plus a small fridge. We picked up groceries in Port Alberni before arriving, though Ucluelet also has a grocery store. There's no breakfast on site, but options are a short drive away. The room had charming artistic touches, books about BC, a couple of chocolates, and lovely-smelling organic shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Since it rains now and then, having rain jackets and boots available was great. Chesterman beach was an easy walk, and town was about a five-minute drive, with plenty of shops, restaurants, and things to do. We ate at Shelter and Schooners, and both were FANTASTIC. On Bobbi's suggestion, we took the Remote Passages hot spring tour. It was a great all-day outing, from 10:30-5:30pm, with a fantastic guide. We saw whales, seals, and sea lions, and enjoyed the natural hot water at the Springs. A fantastic stay, and we'd highly recommend it to anyone visiting Tofino. -L

The location was great, and we had a fantastic stay. The Cedar room was modern and just the right size for two. The owners put a lot of care into the details. I highly recommend it.
