Cobourg Holiday Home

I needed a room urgently that Saturday evening and booked by phone through Expedia. Before the booking was finished, the owner called to ask when I’d arrive. I said my situation had changed and I was cancelling, and he told me to handle it through Expedia. But when I contacted them, he said he couldn’t cancel and would charge me. He took the full amount without providing a room, any service, or any goodwill. It felt like a scam, and I hope he feels good about taking advantage of a woman in a bind.
