The room worked well for our family because we could have connecting rooms, and the bedding was comfy with good water pressure. Service was good too. My concern is the door security: there’s no extra higher lock on the inside, just the one attached to the handle. Little ones can open it even when it’s locked, and as a woman traveling alone, I’d say the room security is only okay. You do need an extra key to enter the hallway, which adds some security.

I first stayed one night when I got to cold lake for work, then came back for a few more nights a month later. Both times, the bed was the comfiest ever. It’s clean, well looked after, has nice rooms and great staff, and the location is great. It costs half as much as holiday inn. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in cold lake.

The exercise room had plenty of space, a decent range of equipment, and was easy to get to. My own room was spacious and clean, with comfortable temperature control and some nice amenities. There are risks in the area, but parking in the visible public areas felt safe. The front entrance is controlled by the desk staff, which can be inconvenient if they’ve stepped away, though it also helps keep the building secure. It was a good stay, and I’d be happy to return.

The beds were comfortable, and the staff were friendly. Parking was difficult at times, though. The Wi-Fi was also a problem, as staff acknowledged. Downloads were slow, around 5-20 Mbps, especially with a VPN, and the connection sometimes stopped working. The outlets made it hard to plug in different electronics. There was a microwave on the desk, which made the desk more like a microwave stand.
