The 24-hour laundry room came in handy for our longer stay, and every room even has its own laundry basket. The staff were lovely, and we ran into a sweet little dog named Holly a few times. Although they have pet-friendly rooms, the hotel still felt fresh and clean inside and out. Our room had a fully equipped kitchen, a comfy reclining chair, and a king bed that felt just like home. The building, furnishings, and appliances all seemed solidly made. Ivory toiletries and the Georgian Bay soft water left our skin feeling soft in the dry, cold weather. Parking was ample and felt safe, even for larger vehicles. It was a great experience from check-in through checkout at this brand-new hotel.

The room was impressively clean, and the lobby was spotless too. The kitchen was well stocked if you want to use it, and the bed was comfortable. The TV had local channels and let us stream from our own device. Check-in was quick and easy. I'd stay again if I'm in the area.

We've stayed here a few times without any problems, but this last visit was frustrating. We booked a one-king suite and were assigned an accessible one-king suite instead. When we asked for the room we had reserved, the only alternative offered was a queen suite. We accepted, then learned it was a dog-friendly room, which hadn't been mentioned even though someone in our party has allergies. At checkout, an employee asked how the weekend had gone. I usually would've said it was great, but I explained that it wasn't. The response was just, “Oh, no. Sorry about that.” It didn't invite any explanation of what went wrong. I emailed a complaint about being given a different room than the one we booked and was offered points worth about $50. I replied by email and haven't heard back. Guests should be aware they may be assigned a room they didn't book, with no choice of the room they originally reserved. Convenient accessible parking wasn't available to me, and I couldn't use the accessible parking spaces. Yet the hotel seemed to consider its own room change a convenient decision. I also have a video of the AC running loudly all weekend right beside our bed.

Our studio suite was bright, spacious, and wheelchair accessible. A cheerful employee welcomed us and arranged the room. It was nice to make coffee and drink it from ceramic mugs, and the bathroom was large with great water pressure. The king bed was really comfortable. I'd recommend this hotel.
