Waking up to the smell of Todd’s fresh muffins was a treat, and with the lovely weather we ate breakfast outside in such a calm spot. The bed was really comfortable, and the views were spectacular. George House Heritage Bed & Breakfast has so much charm inside and out. The restoration and decor feel carefully done, and the home’s history is on display throughout. It’s also in a beautiful setting, just a few steps from the Dildo Brewing Company. Todd was warm, welcoming, and funny, and made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. We had an unforgettable stay and would happily return when we make it back to Newfoundland.

Todd knew the area well and shared ideas for things to do. We also got to chat with him during our stay, which we enjoyed. My wife and I spent two days at his B&B in early July, and everything was top notch: the location, room decor, comfortable bed, and great breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would highly recommend George House Heritage Bed & Breakfast to anyone staying nearby.

The front entrance is breathtaking, and the themed rooms, food, service, even the weight of the silverware all impressed me. For a B&B built in 1885, George House was nothing like I expected. It’s a real gem in Dildo and feels like a five-star resort. Whenever I visit Newfoundland, I make a point of staying here. I highly recommend it. You’ll be glad you did.

My husband and I stayed here the night after our wedding, drawn by our love of historic homes, and we really enjoyed it. The house is decorated to bring you into the era when it was built, and the rooms were incredibly clean. Todd was friendly and accommodating, and breakfast was top notch. I’d give it 10 stars if I could. We’ll definitely recommend it and come back.

Only one night for us, but it was fantastic. Tod met us when we arrived and showed us to our room. We skipped breakfast to get an early start, so Today made us homemade muffins to take along. Great accommodations and a great host.
