Hôtel de Glace

Sleeping there was surprisingly comfortable. The sleeping bag and liner kept us warm, and we also loved the hot tub and sauna. The weather was beautiful and cold, and each room had its own snow sculptures. We loved our stay at the ice hotel. What an amazing, unique experience!

I bought a day pass to see the hotel, and the rooms and ice sculptures were amazing. The staff were pretty friendly, and it’s a lovely, unusual place to visit. I tried a drink at the ice bar, which was cool in both senses of the word. The ice cup was fun, though a little difficult to drink from. Still worth trying.

The quiet, snowy setting and glowing rooms made it feel like another world. The ice architecture and all the details were beautifully done. Staying at the Hôtel de Glace was an unforgettable experience, and one I’ll remember long after leaving. So unique and magical, especially in winter in Québec. We’re grateful we got to go.

Seeing a hotel made entirely of ice is impressive and definitely a cool experience, literally. We only took the paid daytime tour, and drinks at the ice bar cost extra. The bar service was disappointing. The bartender barely acknowledged us while we waited, which took away from the visit. There’s a restaurant there too, but it looked empty and we couldn’t figure out how it worked. You can tour the rooms, but I wouldn’t sleep in one of those freezing rooms, even if someone paid me. 😅 Interesting to see once, but an overnight stay isn’t for me. It’s worth visiting for the novelty, especially since it’s only open seasonally, roughly January-March. Would I stay there? Absolutely not.
