Holiday Inn Express & Suites Victoria - Colwood

The rooms were impressively quiet, clean and tidy, and had the essentials including a microwave and fridge. The location is great, and breakfast was spot on. Having parking included was a big plus, with lots of spaces available. I’d highly recommend this hotel over others in Victoria for a lovely stay.

Our TV stopped working, which was frustrating, but Emmanuel at the front desk of Holiday Inn Express & Suites Victoria sorted it out quickly and calmly. He spoke kindly and put us at ease, and even his firm handshake made it feel like things were under control. What stood out was how he treated us through the whole thing, not only that he fixed the TV. He clearly cares about guests and takes pride in his work. He deserves more than a “good job”; I hope they seriously consider him for a promotion and raise. The service he gives is a reason to stay here.

I was here alone on a business trip. Lots of free parking, and the building was clean and modern. It was a decent mid-range hotel, alright overall.

I travel over 100 times a year, and this is hands down the worst hotel I’ve stayed in. The woman at the front desk was rude and brushed off my concern that there was no water in my room. I called to ask about water and got the same rude response. When I asked what restaurants were nearby, she told me I’d have to Google it. The customer service was awful. After traveling all day, being dismissed like that makes me not want to be a club member or support this chain again.
