The location was a highlight, with a lovely trail right beside the hotel and an easy walk to explore if you have time. Getting there was straightforward too, thanks to the shuttle from Deer Lake Airport and friendly local cab drivers. Check-in went quickly, and the staff were welcoming throughout. My junior suite was clean and comfortable, with more space than I expected: two bathrooms, a sofa area, and a separate workspace. It had what I needed. Breakfast was good and enjoyable, though it didn’t blow me away. I really liked this small-town inn experience in Corner Brook and would recommend it.

The walking trails make this inn especially appealing. They run through a park-like setting and connect to downtown Corner Brook, with good restaurants less than a five-minute walk away. Inside, the historic building has lovely architecture, wooden details, and big windows that open. It’s 101 years old, and the rooms are spacious. Even breakfast is served in dining rooms with white tablecloths. Rates are competitive for the room options and breakfast choice. Booking online was easy, though I called the front desk myself. I’m delighted with my stay.

The restaurant has a bit of an English tea room feel, and the food is good. Service moves at an absurdly slow pace, though, so bring time and maybe a novel if you decide to eat there. The rooms are decently equipped and have old-world charm. The grounds are wonderful when they’re in season.

I’m awake at 1:30am because the neighbor’s TV came through the terribly thin walls and woke me up. The room feels about 500 degrees, with heat blowing through a vent even though the thermostat is turned all the way off. I’m furious I paid for this.

The trails around Glynmill Pond and town are excellent. This is a lovely hotel with a hundred years behind it, and the rooms are spacious with wonderfully comfortable beds. Some of the furnishings and carpets are showing wear.
