Coastal Inn Moncton Dieppe

Randy made the stay. He was consistently warm and smiling, great with both kids and seniors, and went above and beyond several times. He deserves all the raises. The rest of the experience was mixed. Our three rooms looked freshly renovated, but storage would be a problem for a longer stay, and the amenities varied between rooms. Every room had a fridge, though ours was warm; only one had a microwave. Coffee was in each, as were ironing boards, irons that only somewhat worked, and blowdryers with the same issue. The ice buckets were moldy, though they had liners. The walls were filthy, including what looked like remnants of a night spent conceiving, and some beds sloped with the head lower than the feet. One room had an extra blanket, another an extra pillow. Bathrooms were clean. The pool was clean, warm, had towels, and stayed open until 11 pm, which was handy for our NYE visit. The pool area has steps both on the way in and down to the poolside, then just a wobbly ladder into the water, so anyone who can't manage stairs or a pool ladder can't use it. It was fairly quiet for the night. Breakfast had plenty beyond a continental spread and was kept stocked, though the eggs weren't hot or even warm. Coffee and tea were available in the lobby at all hours.

We had a microwave, fridge, coffee maker, and a little table in room 114. The included breakfast had yogurt, cereal, pancakes, boiled eggs, sausage, breads, jam, coffee, and juice. The place felt clean and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and helpful. There's a small pool, and the location just off highway 15 worked well. A good find for the price. We'll stop at the Coastal Inn again on our next trip down east.

We needed somewhere before a morning flight where we could get a room without a credit card, and check-in was simple and quick. The staff were friendly, the price was good, and the clean beds were comfortable. The air conditioning worked, and I couldn't hear the neighbors. My daughter and I had the warm pool to ourselves on a Thursday night, and it was great. The breakfast was very good, with pancakes, sausage, cereal, yogurt, bread, juice, and more, though the eating room is small. The hotel is across from the mall and near the airport. We'll definitely come back.

Handy spot for shopping and dining, and there's good quality free coffee on site. It's a nice, clean motel, and the host at check-in was really friendly. We'll stay here again.
