Montecassino Suites

The room was huge, probably around 50 sqm, and felt more like a one-bedroom apartment. The bed springs squeaked and the internet kept cutting out, though it was fine for just one night. The entrance also felt unwelcoming, like coming through a tunnel into an office building. In my opinion, this isn’t a traditional hotel.

The event hall was comfortable, with good service and tasty Italian-style food that was nicely presented. Montecassino Hotel and Event was clean and organized, and the large parking lot made getting there convenient. I had a great time and would consider coming back for another event.

I was exhausted and checked in at 11 pm because I was too tired to drive home. The total was $326, including a $200 security deposit, and I went straight to bed. At checkout around 9:30 am, I was told towels and other items were missing. I had arrived with only my purse, no bags or luggage, since staying was a last-minute decision. They refused to return the full deposit, saying I had the missing items. I called the police after being told to, but they never showed up. In the end, I got back just $120 of my $200. I’m very disappointed and feel this was a scam to keep my money, over a hotel issue I had nothing to do with.

I had a good time at the Christmas party, and the music was good. The food was so-so. My entree, chicken and vegetables, was cold and dry. I didn’t stay at the hotel itself.
