B&B Le Soleil Nordique

The host was a really great guy, and the location was good. Still, I'd give the hotel two stars.

It was comfortable enough that it felt like a home away from home.

The listing gave a misleading impression. It advertised a superior queen-size bed, but what we got was a fold-out bed with two separate mattresses. It also didn't say that the bathroom was shared with guests from all the other rooms. Breakfast was basic. There were some odd choices too, like a bottle labeled as one brand of fruit juice that actually contained a different kind of juice.

The manager was friendly, but that didn't change my rating. After 15 days of staying in B&Bs, this was probably my worst experience in Quebec and the US. We arrived to find the host wasn't there, and check-in was only from 6 to 8 pm. We had to wait and missed the last service at nearby restaurants. The double bed was made up of two separate mattresses, and the listing didn't mention the shared bathroom. Check-out was quite early at 10 am, and breakfast was very basic. I hope the place improves over time.
