Aspen Motor Inn

For the low price, this was the best cheap hotel I’ve stayed at. I get sub, so I’m usually looking for budget places. The room was clean, and the shower had hot water with seriously good pressure. What more do you need?

They don’t make a fuss about our baby son being really loud, which is great.

The room was dirty, and I found an empty R&R Mickey under the bedside table. The fridge didn’t work and had some kind of mechanical oil all over the inside. There were holes in the wall, and the shower temperature kept swinging, sometimes suddenly getting scalding hot. It was also way too warm, over 20 degrees, so sleeping at night was hard. Some windows locked and some didn’t, and there were no locks on the inside of the doors. The guy running the place was nice enough to move me to another room, but it was just as hot. Disgusting place.

The rooms are spacious and really clean, from the shiny linoleum and thick carpets to the windows and ledges. The kitchenette was fully stocked and clean too, with a small fridge, coffee maker, microwave, hot plate, pots, utensils, a large sink, dish towels, soap, and a scrubber. It is an older place, but management were friendly, smiling under their masks, and helpful. Don’t miss this bargain if you’re passing through Dayton Valley.
