Hoo - Doo Motel

The beds are old and really hard, but otherwise we had an amazing time. Service was wonderful, and staff were very accommodating when we needed extra things. We loved having all three rooms booked next to each other so our big group could sit outside together. They even let my granddaughter decorate the little tree outside the rooms with glow sticks.

The staff were very nice and the rooms clean, but the Wi-Fi kept cutting in and out. Restaurants, stores, and gas stations are all close by.

The beds weren’t the most comfortable, but they were fine for a night. You get what you pay for: the rooms are quite clean, with basic dated furniture and decor, basic amenities, and a good location. There’s free Wi-Fi, though don’t expect much from the TV. The owner and manager provided excellent service. Fair price, and I’ll stay again next time we come through.

The rooms have adjustable thermostats, so they’re warm in winter and cool in summer. They have all the necessary appliances, plus Wi-Fi and TV, and the beds are comfortable and warm enough to feel at home. The owner and staff are accommodating, diligent, helpful, and wonderful to deal with. I’ve never felt uneasy going to the front desk when I needed help. Prices are reasonable, and I’ve really enjoyed staying at Hoodoo. Just don’t expect a five-star motel, this place has its share of pros and cons.
