Riverview Lodge

We were up and out at 3 AM after a long drive, and they had a breakfast bag ready with a hot breakfast sandwich and plenty of other snacks. There was so much that we couldn't finish it. That kind of service really stuck with me, and this is now on my list for our next drive across the country. I've made that trip many times, and this was one of my favourite hotel stays. Way better than a generic comfort-inn or best western, and the history alone made it worthwhile. The hotel was incredibly reasonably priced, and the rooms were huge and very clean, with just enough updating to keep their rustic, historic feel. I loved that it's the old paper Mill. After a very long car ride, the three of us ate at the restaurant and were blown away. The specials felt like they were picked just for us, the food was phenomenal, and the drinks were made perfectly. We would've liked to walk by the water, but had to leave early. About an hour outside Dryden, we picked up a nail in our tire and had a hard time finding a tow truck company at that hour. In hindsight, it would've been nice to sleep in longer in those very comfy beds. We'd definitely book here again.
