The price was the only real plus. The clerk was friendly and helpful, and the attached restaurant was accommodating. I didn’t feel secure in the area, with a lot of people moving around through the evening, though we didn’t have any issues.

The balcony on our second-floor room had holes in the floor and looked completely unsafe, with sticks holding something up. Inside, the outlet by the sink didn’t work, there were cobwebs and peeling wallpaper, and the old phone needed replacing. There was a musty smell, and the hallway fans were filthy. We booked two nights and arrived at 7:30 pm. Check-in was difficult: the woman couldn’t speak English or find our confirmation, even with my printed copy, until a man came to help. There was no secure entrance to the room, just a key. We went to eat after dropping off our luggage, but the kitchen was closing at 8, so we had to rush. There was no breakfast, even though COVID is long past. My husband and I were extremely disappointed last weekend. See attached pictures. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all.

The staff were friendly and upbeat, and it was quiet with no disturbance from them or other guests. The AC worked, and there was air freshener in some areas. Still, there were smells in parts of the place, and the dark corridor felt scary, lol. I also noticed some people under the influence on the ground level. The furniture, TV, mattress, and curtains all seemed old, and the AC was putting out an odor and needed maintenance. Other reviewers mentioned bedbugs too. I’d think twice about coming back, though I might if every other hotel were full.

We were coming from Quebec, and I’d booked this motel a week ahead. I had a confirmation email with the price and all the details, but at the desk they said my card wouldn’t work in their system and insisted I pay by credit card there. They tried to charge nearly $45 extra. My parents were with me, visiting Canada for the first time, and at 12:15 am they were turned away, with staff saying the email hadn’t been sent by them. How is that possible? This was completely unprofessional. I highly discourage anyone from staying here.
