Tally-Ho Inn

The rooms are cozy and quiet, with stunning, almost ethereal views. We come back often, especially in winter, and it’s beautiful in every season. My husband, our dog, and I had the best stay as always for my December 14 birthday. Shops and food are close by. Highly recommend for a getaway. Thanks again, see you in the spring!

The cottage was dated but very clean, and it’s in a good spot for getting to Huntsville. The couches were really comfy, and the kitchen had a full size stove and fridge plus most of the basics. There were plenty of mugs, glasses, plates, and utensils, though the pots and pans weren’t great. No cutting board, salt, pepper, or oil, so you really do need to bring everything. The shower was awful. The beds were clean, but in winter we could have used more blankets. There were two beds in each room and just one extra blanket. A mattress topper would also make them more comfortable.

We loved spending time on the deck, surrounded by woods, in the quiet and secluded setting. The kids had a blast exploring safely, and the whole property felt set up for an easy, fun family stay. It’s a great mix of rustic charm and modern comfort. The Tally Ho Inn Cottage was incredibly clean, truly spotless from the moment we walked in, and that made us feel comfortable right away. We’ve just returned from a fantastic stay and are already planning our next trip. Highly recommend for a clean, nature filled family vacation!

We booked through Airbnb and stayed in The Loon cabin the last week of October. The grounds were great, and we had a bonfire by the lake while watching a beautiful sunset. The private cabin was a good size, cozy with a fire, and set up like a typical hotel room for half the price. It’s in a great spot between town and the park. We’d definitely come back!
