Lakeview Motel

It’s an older building, but the owners take great care of it. The room had a cozy cottage feel, and I really enjoyed the balcony. Check-in was one of the most pleasant experiences I’ve had. I travel often for work, and this was among the most relaxing places I’ve stayed. The area is beautiful. There were ducks in the front yard in the evening and deer out back the next morning. I’ll return when work brings me this way again. Thanks!

The hosts, Harsha and Jag, were warm, friendly and very helpful during our three nights in Haliburton just after Christmas. The motel looks fairly average from the highway, but it’s a couple of notches above most motels, even if it isn’t fancy. We loved soaking in the private hot tub outside our room in the warm water while the winter air was crisp. The trails behind the motel are lovely, and it was sweet seeing lots of deer, ducks and wild turkeys feeding right outside. We didn’t stay in the dome, but it looked amazing.

We stayed here in mid-March and had a lovely time. The wildlife was everywhere, which the kids and I loved. The rooms were very clean, and although the beds were a little soft, we slept well. Nice location, and the pool looks great for summer. We’d definitely stay again.

After an unexpectedly long day snowmobiling, we were delayed and arrived late. We let them know, and she kindly offered to have food ready for us. It was delicious and so thoughtful, and we all enjoyed breakfast too. The rooms were warm, clean and just what we needed. It’s conveniently right off the trail, and I’d recommend staying here and come back myself.
