Moonlight Beach Suites

Jane and Cal were wonderful hosts, and our family had a great time. We’d come back. The rooms are cozy and comfortable, with a shared living and game room available. You can sit on the patio and listen to the ocean, or walk down to the sandy beach for sunrise or sunset. It’s a lovely spot beside the Atlantic for a vacation.

We used the location to explore Halifax and the Eastern Shore, including three other beaches during our weeklong stay. Back at the suites, everything we needed was there and they were very comfortable. At night, you can fall asleep to waves crashing on Lawrencetown Beach. Jane and Cal were extremely friendly and helpful. A perfect place for a relaxing getaway, highly recommended.

The beach was stunning, which is the only reason I gave this place two stars. The owner was very sweet, but we didn’t feel we had enough privacy. We worried about being heard even inside our suite, and felt we had to censor ourselves around the owners. Their family was visiting from New Brunswick. The room was small and didn’t block much sound. We could hear people outside the suite doors and walking overhead. Most of the problems were related to COVID restrictions, though.

I had to cancel because circumstances made the trip difficult, so I called to ask about changing my dates. The owner wouldn’t let me rebook, and said I’d still have to pay a cancellation fee either way. I’ve never had that happen before; most hotels accommodate date changes when life throws up unexpected circumstances. Since it was high season, I thought she’d easily rebook the room. Maybe she needs to squeeze money out of people wherever she can. Very disappointing 🙁
