I can’t wait to return in the spring and get inspired by Spa Eastman again. There’s so much to do, from the daily workshops, exercise classes, breath work, and yoga to more than 15 km of walking trails for forest bathing and fresh air. I loved the beautiful art studio, which features local and national artists, and the gardens that grow much of the food served at TONIQUE Cuisine. The restaurant is a must. I ate there for lunch, dinner, and breakfast, and the creative, sustainable food and impeccable service were unforgettable. The dining room looks out over lovely scenery and has a contemporary design. I came away with great ideas for healthier cooking, too. There are thoughtful touches everywhere, including books at the bookstore and lovely things in the gift shop. Spa Eastman also offers retreats and cooking classes. The hot and cold pools and sauna are beautiful and well cared for, and there’s a natural lake for a cold plunge, with healing plants in the water that help oxygenate it. You can lounge inside or out, read, or simply rest with your eyes closed. A massage is another lovely way to relax and feel re-energized. It’s a mindful, sustainable, healthy, and restful place, with so many ways to enjoy your time and feel at peace, learn, and unwind.

I left Spa Eastman feeling clearer, lighter, and inspired. It sets a high standard for holistic wellness, with a coherence between the surroundings, care, food, and intentions that you can feel from the moment you arrive. The whole place invites you to slow down and recharge. The cuisine especially impressed me: it combines nutritional thoughtfulness, skillful cooking, and respect for the body’s natural rhythms. Every dish was nourishing and genuinely enjoyable, a hard balance to maintain so consistently. I have a long professional background in cuisine and a strong interest in holistic health, and I was struck by how naturally pleasure and well-being came together. Nothing felt forced or trendy, just thoughtful and grounded. A remarkable place, highly recommended. 🌿💫

The restaurant meals were delicious, and the snacks at reception were so addictive I’d avoid them! We were fortunate to stay in the main building, so we didn’t have to make the long snowy walk to our accommodation. The rooms and facilities could definitely use an upgrade. Go expecting a serene, even quaint place rather than luxury buildings, and you won’t be disappointed.

We took the “soirée découverte,” which included dinner. The food was very good, completely gluten free and lactose free, so it’s good for celiacs. Tips were included in the price as well. It’s a beautiful place and worth the cost. There’s no dress code, but most people, maybe everyone, were dressed in the restaurant, so if you’re sensitive to standing out, I’d suggest dressing for that part. The owner was giving others a tour but still paused to share tips on enjoying the place. She was so sweet!

Back to reality now, after a great four-day, three-night getaway. The staff were welcoming and kind, and I loved all the included services: hot saunas and baths, cold plunges, and a relaxing pond. The three meals each day were excellent quality, and it was nice to be able to order wine too. I also had a massage, covered by my work benefits, at a reasonable $120 for 60 minutes.
