Chateau Nova Kingsway

The restaurant was a bright spot: the food was delicious and very well priced, and the service was excellent. The hotel itself looked worn, though, with peeling wallpaper, broken tiles, paint chips around the building, and torn carpets. Our room needed work too. There were obvious wall patches, and the toilet seat shifted because it wasn't anchored. The toilet also ran for a long time before refilling. There was even a leak in the middle of the restaurant.

I keep coming back over the years because the rooms are clean and quiet, and the staff are both friendly and professional. The food here is delicious too.

The cots we were promised at no charge were still added to my bill, and they weren't even set up. One was left standing in the doorway, blocking the way in, with no instructions for us to figure it out. This was after our second room wasn't ready, so all eight of us were put into one room for a while. When the rooms were given to us, each had just one bed, although we'd booked and agreed on two queen beds per room. The place we were put in felt like something from a murder movie, with leaking windows and dirty sheets. By then, we'd had enough. The management was terrible and didn't make up for the problems. Don't make the mistake I did and stay here.

The location was out of the way, and there was no pool. The rooms and halls weren't very clean, and the smell in the building wasn't pleasant, though the beds were comfortable. We had to go to the lobby to heat food because there was no microwave in the room. The attached restaurant needs better service and food. My eggs Benny looked good, but tasted awful, probably the worst I've had.
