Courtyard Edmonton Downtown

The attached restaurant served a lovely breakfast at reasonable prices. I also liked the glass walk-in shower and thought the room was gorgeous. I checked in around 10:30/11pm, and the woman at the desk kindly offered to extend checkout to 12pm. I declined since I had to leave around checkout time anyway, but she said I could let them know in the morning if I changed my mind. I only stayed one night, but I’ll definitely come back.

We’ve made Sunday lunch at the Riverside Bistro a regular thing. The river view is incredible, and the atmosphere is comfortable, but Mr Phong is the best part. He’s a professional dining host, always attentive to what we need and smiling as wide as the river. One of Edmonton’s best-kept dining secrets. Five stars.

The hotel staff were so kind and helpful, from assisting with parking to sharing useful information and bringing room supplies within minutes of my call. It’s a lovely downtown Edmonton spot for a staycation, with beautiful city views. Breakfast isn’t included and parking costs extra, but I had a great experience and found it comfortable for a local getaway.

The restaurant and lounge were the highlight for me. The food was thoughtfully put together, and the dining staff showed real, professional hospitality. The hotel is well located and has potential, but the front desk, valet, and loyalty recognition need work. Across three business stays at a client’s request, I was repeatedly disappointed as a long-time Platinum Elite Bonvoy member. The benefits were minimal and poorly explained, check-in lacked warmth and professionalism, and parking information was unclear enough to make valet seem required. The valet itself was uninspired. I’m still loyal to Bonvoy, but might come back for the restaurant instead of the hotel. I know I’m not the first to raise these concerns, and hope things improve for the next Bonvoy member and guest.
