There are plenty of pros here, plus some real annoyances. Breakfast is free in a dedicated room, opening 6:30-9:30 on weekdays and 7:00-10:00 on weekends, though there isn’t much to choose from. The lobby has a separate coffee room with regular and decaf, which is handy when breakfast is closed. Near the left side of the lobby are an ice machine and snack and drink vending machines. The snacks won’t take bills over $5, and a $10 bill won’t get you change. The first-floor gym has good lighting and high-quality equipment. Laundry has a washer and dryer, but takes only $2 and $1 coins. In our room, we accidentally turned the heat off, and the next day there was actual ice and snow on the windows, as shown in the image. The location isn’t great for taking nice photos unless you go to West Edmonton mall. The old TV has no USB-C to USB connection, no guide, and you can’t select anything. The elevator often breaks and can stay that way for two days, making it hard to get to your room. There’s lobby decor, but in the hallways and rooms it’s just a painting on the wall. That’s why I rate it 3/5.

After a bad stay at another hotel, this one felt like a breath of fresh air. The rooms were clean, and everyone was welcoming. The next morning the staff were especially friendly, and the complimentary breakfast was hot, delicious, and had a great variety. I’d stay here again.

The staff were great, and the location is convenient for WEM, shops, and restaurants. My room was a little dirty, with dirt gathered in the corners, and messages from previous guests appeared on the mirror after a shower. The showerhead was so low that even at 5'4 I had to bend and contort to wash my hair.

Ashley, the supervisor, gave amazing service. She was professional, had a great attitude, and was compassionate and always ready to go the extra mile. The other staff were very polite and sweet too. My only complaints were that the TV never worked and the pillows could have been bigger and more comfortable. A microwave would have been handy as well. Still, the service from Ashley was amazing, and I’d recommend the place. Thank you! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🙏🩷

My grandma lives out of town and often stays at the west harvest quality inn for medical appointments. During a visit for routine checkups this past week, she had a medical emergency. The staff called an ambulance twice when she needed it, kept her things and room for days after checkout, and showed real concern and compassion when I called with updates. I’m so grateful for how far the employees went to help her.
