Radisson Hotel & Conference Centre West Edmonton

I’d read concerns in other reviews, but I didn’t have any bed bug issues during my stay. The room was clean and well kept, housekeeping did a good job, and I felt comfortable the whole time.

The location was handy, close to attractions and restaurants, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout. I had a pleasant stay and would consider coming back.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, but at first there was no running hot water in the bathroom. We tried another room across the hall and found the same issue, so I asked to move again. The front desk staff were great and found me a room with hot water. The room still had cosmetic problems, including a broken ceiling, a missing safety door lock, and various bathroom finish issues from the contractor, though nothing major. There’s also a huge water and ice-filled pothole at the parking lot entrance, about the size of a pickup truck. The drainage in that area may be clogged.

After a long day out, I expected to come back to made beds and clean towels, but neither had been taken care of. When I asked at the service desk the night before, the only answer was that they didn’t know and would leave a note on my file. I raised it again in the morning and was told nothing could be done, then pointed to a sign that had been put up the previous day about housekeeping being unavailable. I’m a paying guest, so how is that my problem? I asked for a discount or something to make up for it and got nothing, just a manager’s card and the news she wasn’t in that day. Staff were unavailable, and I even saw the front desk hang up on guests while one or two people were waiting in line. There was no customer service. I brought my family for a vacation and wish we’d chosen another hotel. This place is pathetic, and they should be ashamed.
