Super 8 by Wyndham Edmonton/West

The room had only one working outlet by the beds, and the only other working one anywhere in the room was in the bathroom. Apart from that, it was a very good stay. The rooms were clean and tidy, it was quiet, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was okay. We were pleased overall and would stay again.

The food was great, the hotel was very clean, and the reception staff and everyone else working there were really nice. I stayed two nights, Mar 20 & 21, in room 220, and had no issues apart from the noise from the floor above. It was wooden and creaked a lot, making a disturbing sound. I reported it on both the first and second nights, but nothing was done. I wish they'd moved me, even the next day. It was a good stay in many ways, but that noise was disappointing and made for a very unpleasant experience.

The stay was comfortable and good value for what I paid. My room was clean, with no odd smells, although some drywall and ceiling repairs looked rough while still being adequate. Parking was excellent, and breakfast was fine for a Wyndham property. I visited during the quiet holiday season, so noise wasn't an issue, but the restaurant was closed over Christmas.

Acea was friendly, caring, and helpful when I made the booking. The room was clean and the linens were in good shape, and the stay felt safe. Breakfast is light, but enough to get you through. It's good value, though not five-star, and the building could use some maintenance as the wear is showing.
