Grand Times Hotel Drummondville

The room made a good first impression, with generous space, nice style, and good lighting. But once we used it, the beds hurt our backs and the pillows weren't comfortable. After showering, we smelled of bleach, and there was no conditioner. The soap dispensers also felt cheap. This was the most expensive hotel on our trip at about $350 a night, yet it felt like the cheapest. I booked through a platform and felt treated like a third-class person for it. We got the worst view, looking out at the convention space rooftop. Staff were generally friendly, but there was no tissue in the box. When we asked the front desk late at night, they gave us three napkins, so we had to wait until morning to ask housekeeping for a box. Fine if you care more about looks than function.

I've stayed at a lot of hotels, but this one won't be on my list again. The receptionist was really rude and made no effort to make check-in easier. The answer to everything was no, unfortunately no, and more no.

The rooms were roomy and great, with two big, comfortable beds and plenty of chairs. The TV worked and had lots of channels. There was also a fridge, microwave, bathtub with a shower head, cool mirror, and alarm clock. Service was good, although there were no complimentary water bottles in the fridge. The hotel is near a SuperC, which seems to be a popular supermarket in Québec. I stayed yesterday, and for me this is a five-star hotel.

The hotel was pretty calm and close to restaurants and shops, and we loved our night there apart from breakfast. Our room was nice, clean, and well organized. The pool was okay, but there weren't many towels supplied, so we had to bring our own to swim. Breakfast was poorly organized, with few choices. We wanted cereal but there was no milk, and there weren't enough dishes for everyone. We wouldn't recommend eating breakfast here.
