The homemade breakfast and lovely grounds made this a memorable stop. After a long road trip, Jean & Linda’s place was a much-needed break from cookie-cutter hotels. They’ve clearly spent decades welcoming guests, and staying here felt like a good way to support a local small business instead of a corporate chain.

The service was excellent, and the building has a cozy, one-of-a-kind feel. There are beautiful antiques throughout, along with an interesting history. I’d highly recommend staying here.

That koi pond and garden made it easy to unwind after our six-hour drive. We were tired and ready to relax, but meeting Linda and seeing the beautiful home right away made us feel we’d found a haven. The grounds are impeccably kept, and there are eye-catching things around the inn, each with its own story. We also got to rest in the splendid hot tub overlooking the garden. We stayed in the private suite. It was very clean and had great views, a large-screen TV, and a said. Breakfast exceeded expectations: Jean and Linda served delicious coffee, an omelette, and home fries. The space checked all the boxes. If we’re in Elie again, we know where to book.

Those potatoes will stay with me for years. I don’t even like potatoes, but these were exceptional, and the beautiful dining room made the meal even better. The food was lovely, and the location is perfect for rest and care. We came looking for ghosties and were pleasantly surprised by how peaceful and comfortable the accommodations felt. The exceptionally beautiful gardens and koi were fun to watch. The building is amazing, with a rich history the owners love sharing, and there’s a lovely walking path across the way. It’s a very tranquil spot. We didn’t get to the fire pit or hot tub, so we’ll have to stay a few extra days next time. Don’t forget to pet Frankie, a wonderful little companion kitty who greets you every time you step outside. The labyrinth is another lovely little addition. From myself and Kenora Phantom Fandom, thank you for a wonderful stay. I’ll definitely be back.

The koi pond was a favorite of mine, and the grounds were gorgeous and so nicely kept. John and Linda were the best hosts, and I loved every minute of our stay. The beautiful room, Linda’s coffee, and the delicious full breakfast John whipped up all added to the charm. Hearing their stories about the historic place and life in Elie was lovely. The whole place felt like somewhere from a storybook. We’ve found our new favorite spot for a romantic weekend getaway. No hotel we’ve stayed at compares with the personal touch and care John and Linda gave us. Amazing place, we’d definitely book again. If I could rate it higher, I would 🤗❤️
