We’ve stayed and gone whale watching with Vacance Essipit, and they never disappoint. The DVD player, wifi, and laundry dryer weren’t working, though we didn’t ask anyone to fix them because we were too busy enjoying ourselves. For nature and bird lovers, it’s hard to beat the quiet, the gorgeous changing tide, and the easy walk to a little hiking trail and whale watching and birding area. Groceries, a pharmacy, and gas are nearby too. There’s everything you need, and we were thrilled to pay less than we’ve paid for much less elsewhere.

The setting is incredible, and you can spot marine life right from the chalet 🦭🐳. It’s a magnificent location for disconnecting and getting some fresh air. The chalet was spotless and functional, and the welcome was great.

For the price we usually pay for two shabby motel rooms to fit all six of us, we got a charming, fully equipped cottage with a private beach in a peaceful cove and a beautiful view. The cottages at Anse-à-Jos make family stays possible, which isn’t always easy to find. The one drawback was the sofa bed, which wasn’t very comfortable for people five and six. We’re extremely satisfied and will definitely come back!
