We had 17 people and there was plenty of space, plus all the cooking gear, dishes, glasses and utensils we needed. The large kitchen has stainless counters and a Hobart dishwasher, which made things easier since we handled our own cooking and cleaning. The service was excellent. We also enjoyed the sauna and hot tub. Ski access from the back door is really convenient, and the place is very scenic. I rated the rooms a 3 because the mattresses and pillows could use an upgrade.

There was room for our big group of adults and kids, and most bedrooms have their own bathrooms, with extra shared bathrooms too. The lodge worked really well for meals and hanging out, with a large kitchen, industrial fridge and dishwasher, and long tables. The hot tub felt private and convenient, and the owners changed the water each day. Skiing was easy too, with a chairlift very close by and a trail that ends right behind the lodge. A wonderful spot for a weekend gathering.

Everyone in our wedding party was comfortable at Alpine Lodge Fernie for the three days we were there, and having the whole group stay together made the occasion even better. The pine tree setting for our mountain ceremony was magical, while the lodge reception felt cozy and intimate. Once the tables were cleared, we danced all night. Cam was easy to work with, and Michiyo was so sweet to congratulate us as we wrapped up. It was a perfect venue and day. Thanks, Cam and Michiyo. We’ll get a group together and stay again.

We loved the stargazing from the upper deck. The rooms were comfortable, and both the steam bath and hot tub were kept in great shape. Ski-in, ski-out access was a real plus.
