The outside doesn’t really show how much work has been done inside. Our room smelled of fresh paint, the linens were thick, and everything felt new enough that we wanted to take our shoes off. This family-run place was a surprise highlight of our road trip. Check-in was easy, and we had a nice chat with the son about the price, though there wasn’t much room to negotiate since the rooms were newly renovated. There’s a picnic table and barbecue out back, but the tank didn’t have propane, so we cooked a steak on the table anyway. A liquor store and grocery store are within walking distance on the same block. It’s a quiet town, with hardly anyone around. Easy five stars.

The double-bed rooms are huge and clean, with no bugs or bad smells. The place is quiet, centrally located in fort macleod, and the kitchenettes are a must. Highly recommend it. I’d definitely ask them to reopen the pool and hot tub!

I was in town working for a few weeks, and the location was convenient. The bed was comfortable for me, the staff were friendly, and the price was cheap. The room was very dated and seemed unmaintained, and I had to temporarily fix the showerhead myself. If all you need is a place for the night, it works.

We couldn’t stay. We’d booked by phone and were told the room was non-smoking, but it clearly had been smoked in daily for years. It was disgustingly dirty and dank too. We got a refund and went to the Sunset Motel, which was extremely clean, welcoming, and updated.

This place was awful for the price. The facilities were poor, and it was outdated and smelly. I could get a four-star hotel in Lethbridge for nearly the same amount. I do not recommend it.
